Ventura grand opening

As many of you have heard, Dave’s Dogs has expanded to a second location in Ventura, right outside Pacific View Mall.

This was never just another store. This was a dream Dave had been carrying for years. So many of you made the drive from Ventura and the surrounding areas just to support us, and he never forgot that. He wanted to come closer to you.

In the summer of 2025, he finally got that chance. He secured the location and was ready to bring it to life.

Three days after receiving Health Department approval, everything changed. Dave suffered a stroke.

What followed were the hardest months. Nearly three months in the ICU. Multiple strokes. Airlifts between the best hospitals in the state. Moments where we were told to prepare for the worst. Moments where we didn’t know if Dave would make it through the night.

There were times it felt like this dream, his dream-might end before it ever had the chance to fully grow.

But Dave kept fighting.

Day by day. Step by step. Against everything.

And somehow, here we are 10 months later.

Dave is here. He’s watching people walk up to a place that once only existed in his mind. He’s seeing his dream continue to grow, even after everything tried to take it away.

This Ventura location is more than a second shop. It’s everything he fought for. It’s proof of his strength, his heart, and his refusal to give up.

To everyone who has supported us over the past 10 years—thank you. You carried us through the moments we didn’t know how we’d get through.

To everyone just finding us—THANK YOU for being here. You’re now part of something much bigger than a hot dog stand.

This place exists because of you.
And because Dave never stopped fighting.

Here’s to 10 years.
Here’s to this new chapter.
